For the Crust:
- 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 325ยฐF (163ยฐC). Combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter, then press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in sour cream and peppermint extract.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust, drizzle melted chocolate on top and swirl gently. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool and prepare the chocolate cake mix as per box instructions.
- Layer the cooled cheesecake and baked chocolate cake. Garnish with whipped cream and mint leaves.
