For the Crust:
- 1 whole fish (about 1.5 lbs), cleaned
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 inch piece of ginger, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Prepare the fish by making diagonal cuts on both sides and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the ginger, garlic, and half of the scallions inside the cavity of the fish.
- Steam the fish over boiling water for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through. Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, and garnish with the remaining scallions before serving.
