Description
A creamy pasta dish featuring ground beef, rigatoni pasta, mozzarella cheese, and a garlic herb cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces rigatoni pasta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in heavy cream, fresh basil, fresh oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet with the beef sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top and stir until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra herbs if desired.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Ensure pasta is al dente for the best texture.
