These no-bake salted caramel pretzel bars are an irresistible treat combining crunchy pretzels, gooey caramel, rich chocolate, and a hint of sea salt. Perfect for parties or as a quick dessert!

- For the Crust:
- 2 cups pretzel crumbs (about 3 cups whole pretzels)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- For the Caramel Layer:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Chocolate Layer:
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- For the Topping:
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a food processor, pulse whole pretzels until you have 2 cups of crumbs. Mix crumbs with melted butter and sugar. Press into a lined 9×13 inch pan. Chill in fridge.
- Make the caramel: In a heavy saucepan, combine cream, sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until temperature reaches 240ยฐF (soft ball stage). Remove from heat, stir in salt and vanilla. Pour over crust and chill for 1 hour.
- Add chocolate layer: Melt chocolate chips and butter in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. Spread over caramel layer. Sprinkle with crushed pretzels and flaky salt. Chill for 2 hours until set.
- Cut into bars and serve. Store leftovers in fridge.
Notes
Use fresh pretzels for best texture. Be careful not to burn the caramel. For thicker bars, use an 8×8 pan.
