Description

A simple one-pot meal combining ground turkey, orzo pasta, and flavorful seasonings for an easy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for 1 minute.
  5. Add orzo pasta, chicken broth, and diced tomatoes with their juices.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  7. Stir in spinach leaves and cook until wilted.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, and serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
