Description

Festive shortbread cookies infused with orange zest and dried cranberries for a tangy twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange zest
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the orange zest and salt.
  3. Gradually add the flour and mix until combined.
  4. Fold in the dried cranberries.
  5. Shape the dough into a log, wrap in plastic, and chill for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  7. Slice the log into cookies and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
