Description

A vibrant jam combining the sweetness of oranges with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for spreading on toast or glazing meats.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh oranges, peeled and chopped
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 packet pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine chopped oranges, jalapeños, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Add pectin and continue boiling for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  5. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.

Notes

For a milder jam, remove the seeds from the jalapeños. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
