- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper; cook until onion is soft.
- Warm tortillas in the microwave for 20-30 seconds to make them pliable.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla, add cheese, and roll tightly.
- Place taquitos seam-side down on the baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a healthier option, use ground turkey instead of beef.
