Description

An easy dessert combining pecan pie flavors with a dump cake method.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Spread apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle pecan halves over the pie filling.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the pecans.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers as much as possible.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This recipe is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
