Description

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, evaporated milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin layer.
  5. Top with chopped pecans and drizzle melted butter over the entire surface.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier topping, toast the pecans before adding. Serve with vanilla ice cream for the best experience.
