Description

A delightful fall dessert featuring pumpkin puree mixed with spices, topped with a crunchy pecan streusel and baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, eggs, and evaporated milk until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. Top with chopped pecans and drizzle melted butter over the entire surface.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier topping, add more pecans. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
