Description

A moist and flavorful pumpkin bread topped with a crunchy streusel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Streusel Topping:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. For the streusel: In a small bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in the melted butter until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

This bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
