- 2 large eggs

- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for filling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and red food coloring.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Scoop dough into balls, make an indent in each with your thumb, and fill with cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
