Description

Delicate red velvet macarons filled with a creamy mascarpone frosting, perfect for a special dessert.


Ingredients

  • 100g almond flour
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 10g cocoa powder
  • 2 egg whites
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • Red food coloring
  • For frosting: 100g mascarpone cheese
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, sift together almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold the dry ingredients into the meringue mixture along with red food coloring.
  4. Pipe the batter onto a baking sheet and let rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 150°C for 15-18 minutes.
  6. For frosting, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Once cooled, sandwich the macarons with frosting.

Notes

Ensure the macarons are completely cooled before adding frosting to prevent melting. Store in an airtight container.
