Description

This indulgent Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake combines the classic flavors of red velvet cake with crunchy Oreo cookies in a creamy cheesecake filling.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Oreo crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. For the crust: Mix Oreo crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  3. For the filling: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add cocoa powder, red food coloring, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in sour cream and crushed Oreos.
  5. Pour filling over the crust and bake for 60-70 minutes or until set. Cool in the oven with the door ajar.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
