For the Crust:
- 1 (13×9-inch) red velvet cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam, for glazing
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, create a layer using half of the red velvet cake cubes. Top with half of the cheesecake filling and a layer of half the sliced strawberries. Repeat the layers once more.
- Warm the strawberry jam slightly and brush it over the top layer of strawberries for a glossy finish. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
