Description

Indulgent cheesecake cups combining apple pie flavors with salted caramel.


Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cheesecake Filling:
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Apple Pie Topping:
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salted Caramel Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325ยฐF (163ยฐC) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of each liner.
  3. Bake the crust for 5 minutes, then let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crusts, filling each about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set. Let cool completely.
  7. For the apple topping, cook diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  8. Spoon the apple mixture over the cooled cheesecakes.
  9. For the salted caramel, heat sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until amber. Remove from heat and stir in cream, butter, and salt.
  10. Drizzle the salted caramel over the apple topping. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh apples and high-quality caramel sauce.
