- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cilantro, and honey to make the marinade.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the marinade. Ensure chicken is fully marinated for best results.
