- 8 ounces rotini pasta
- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 2 medium apples, cored and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the sliced Italian sausage over medium heat until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add the diced apples and cook for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Return the sausage to the skillet and pour in the chicken broth; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper; cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine everything evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
