For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup Thai chili sauce
  • 1 head butter or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautรฉ for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Stir in soy sauce, cooking until the chicken is fully cooked.
  3. Mix in water chestnuts, green onions, and Thai chili sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  4. Serve the chicken mixture in lettuce leaves and garnish with extra green onions if desired.
