- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced into strips
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef strips and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and tender. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the remaining oil and sauté the onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Push the onions and garlic to one side of the wok and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble the eggs until just cooked, then mix with the onions.
- Add the cooked rice to the wok, stirring to combine with the onions, garlic, and eggs.
- Return the beef strips to the wok and pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For the best results, use day-old rice to prevent it from becoming mushy. Ensure the beef is sliced thinly for quick and even cooking.
