For the Crust:
- 12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz noodles (such as rice or egg noodles)
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sliced bell pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes to make the sweet and spicy duck sauce.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining vegetable oil and sautรฉ garlic until fragrant. Add bell peppers and onions, and stir-fry until softened.
- Add cooked noodles, shrimp, and duck sauce mixture to skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
