A delightful combination of shrimp and noodles tossed in a homemade sweet and spicy duck sauce, making for a flavorful and satisfying meal.

For the Crust:

  • 12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz noodles (such as rice or egg noodles)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes to make the sweet and spicy duck sauce.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining vegetable oil and sautรฉ garlic until fragrant. Add bell peppers and onions, and stir-fry until softened.
  5. Add cooked noodles, shrimp, and duck sauce mixture to skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
