- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 slices Italian bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice; simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and black pepper; remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley.
- For the garlic bread, preheat the broiler. Brush bread slices with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Broil for 1-2 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Divide the cooked pasta into bowls, top with shrimp scampi mixture, and serve with garlic bread on the side.
