Description

Succulent lamb shanks slow-cooked with herbs for a rich and flavorful gravy.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add lamb shanks and sear on all sides until browned.
  2. Transfer lamb shanks to a slow cooker. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, cooking until softened, then add to the slow cooker with stock, wine, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is tender. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
