Description

This slow cooker baked ziti is an easy, extra cheesy pasta dish made with ziti pasta, marinara sauce, and plenty of cheese, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked ziti pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, cooked sausage, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until heated through and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add more vegetables like spinach or bell peppers. Ensure pasta is al dente before adding to the slow cooker to avoid overcooking.
