Description
This slow cooker baked ziti is an easy, extra cheesy pasta dish made with ziti pasta, marinara sauce, and plenty of cheese, perfect for a comforting family meal.

- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound ground Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked ziti pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, cooked sausage, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add more vegetables like spinach or bell peppers. Ensure pasta is al dente before adding to the slow cooker to avoid overcooking.
