Ingredients

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped onions

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a slow cooker, combine the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, heavy cream, garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Step 2: Add the refrigerated cheese tortellini to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce mixture.
  3. Step 3: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  4. Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the tortellini is tender.
  5. Step 5: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the fresh spinach and let it wilt.
