Description

An easy and flavorful slow cooker meal featuring layers of sausage, peppers, and ravioli, perfect for a hearty family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes; drain excess fat.
  2. In the slow cooker, layer the sliced bell peppers and onion at the bottom.
  3. Add the minced garlic and browned sausage on top of the vegetables.
  4. Pour half of the marinara sauce over the sausage mixture.
  5. Layer the frozen ravioli evenly over the sauce.
  6. Add the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until ravioli is tender.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

This recipe is ideal for busy days; prep in the morning and enjoy in the evening. For a spicier version, use hot Italian sausage.
