Description

A flavorful braised beef dish infused with spicy red chilies, fresh cilantro, and onions, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into chunks
  • 4 red chilies, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add beef chunks and brown on all sides.
  3. Add chopped red chilies, sliced onion, and minced garlic; stir for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and enough water to cover the beef.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours until beef is tender.
  6. Stir in fresh cilantro and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra heat, add more chilies. Pairs well with rice.
