- 12 cannelloni tubes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked beef and spinach with ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg until well combined.
- Stuff the cannelloni tubes with the beef and spinach mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed cannelloni tubes in the dish.
- Top with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute the ground beef with mushrooms or lentils. Ensure the pasta is al dente before stuffing to avoid sogginess.
