  • 12 cannelloni tubes
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cooked beef and spinach with ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg until well combined.
  5. Stuff the cannelloni tubes with the beef and spinach mixture.
  6. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed cannelloni tubes in the dish.
  7. Top with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute the ground beef with mushrooms or lentils. Ensure the pasta is al dente before stuffing to avoid sogginess.
