Description

A delicious twist on traditional sloppy joes, featuring juicy ground beef infused with steakhouse flavors like Worcestershire and A1 sauce, topped on buns for the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp A1 steak sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper (if using). Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, A1 sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. These can be made ahead and reheated gently on the stove.
