- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp A1 steak sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper (if using). Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, A1 sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. These can be made ahead and reheated gently on the stove.
