Description

Soft and fluffy sweet rolls filled with a creamy cheesecake mixture and fresh strawberries, topped with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, then place in a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with a mixture of cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Sprinkle chopped strawberries over the cream cheese mixture and roll up the dough tightly.
  6. Cut into 12 rolls and place in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before glazing.

Notes

For best results, use ripe strawberries and serve warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
