Description

A delightful summer dessert combining peach cobbler flavors with a poke cake base.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (21 oz) peach pie filling
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the top using the end of a wooden spoon.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened, then pour over the cake, spreading evenly.
  6. Spread the peach pie filling over the pudding layer and top with fresh peach slices.
  7. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
