Description

This meatloaf combines sweet and spicy Korean BBQ flavors for a unique twist on a classic dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the glaze: 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon gochujang

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, honey, and gochujang for the glaze.
  5. Brush the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160ยฐF (71ยฐC).
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
