For the Crust:
- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 red chili, sliced
- 4 cups mixed greens
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup fresh mint
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, whisk together fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and chili to make the dressing.
- Season the flank steak with salt and pepper, then grill over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until medium-rare. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
- In a large bowl, toss the mixed greens, cilantro, mint, and red onion with half of the dressing.
- Arrange the salad on a platter, top with sliced steak, and drizzle with the remaining dressing. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts before serving.
