Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 4 cups mixed greens
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and chili to make the dressing.
  2. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper, then grill over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until medium-rare. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the mixed greens, cilantro, mint, and red onion with half of the dressing.
  4. Arrange the salad on a platter, top with sliced steak, and drizzle with the remaining dressing. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
