Description

Delicious butterscotch bars made with a simple recipe from Trisha Yearwood, perfect for desserts.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in butterscotch chips. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.
  7. Cool in the pan before cutting into bars.
