A luxurious and indulgent potato bake with layers of creamy sauce, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned potatoes.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat over medium until warm but not boiling.
  3. Layer half the potato slices in the baking dish. Pour half the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle with half the cheddar and parmesan cheeses.
  4. Repeat with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses. Dot the top with cubed butter.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
